This program pairs Radha’s mandala art and newest collection Women Warriors: Exploration of Divine Femininity with a wide range of choral music reflecting on themes of peace, change, struggle, and oneness between self, relationships, and cultures.

Save the Dates: Saturday May 17th or Sunday May 18th.

Every single day, we’re in the middle of something: work or rest, struggle or peace, progression or regression, conformation or divergence, humanity or divinity. Balance, as nice as it sounds, is famously difficult to envision and even harder to achieve. What does it take to live in the liminal “between” spaces in life? Between responsibilities? Between relationships? Between cultures?

Radha Lakshmi is a Cincinnati-based visual and community artist. She primarily practices the art of Kolam/Mandala, a ritual art form passed down through her family for generations. The Mandala, a Sanskrit word for circle or completion, has a long history and is recognized for its deep abstract spiritual meaning and representation of wholeness.

Radha was born and raised in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Her art is derivative of a spiritual practice that seeks to recognize, honor, and celebrate the interconnectedness of all life in the Cosmos. She believes art is influential in healing and transformation, and her work seeks to bring balance, harmony, and peace to those who experience it.
